Dr. Marchela Koleva is an oncologist with over 30 years of medical experience. She performs medical treatment of solid tumors and has a focus on non-standard cases, including rare localizations, presence of more than one tumor, etc. Offers options to engage in treatment programs for rare cancer conditions.
Makes a comprehensive assessment of the patient’s condition and the extent of spread of the malignancy. Advises on sequence of treatment procedures, duration of treatment, diet and exercise regimen, genetic counseling guidelines, prevention recommendations.
Education
Graduated from the Medical University of Sofia in 1992 and has a degree in Inner Diseases and Medical Oncology. She has specialized in leading Oncology Institutes in Bulgaria, Austria, Spain, United Kingdom.

Chairman of the Board of the Association of Interventional Oncology;
Member of Eastern European professional associations, European Association of Oncology, American Cancer Society.
Biography
Dr. Koleva is the author and implementer of the program for rehabilitation of patients with cancer “Victoria” and is one of the founders of systematic teaching of Medical Oncology in the chorarium of medical students at the Military Medical Academy Sofia. She is the author of articles on the treatment of solid tumors, manuals and textbooks on oncology. From 2012 to 2013 she worked at Serdika Hospital in the Department of Medical Oncology. Until 2018 she was the head of the Department of Medical Oncology at ISUL – Tsaritsa Ioanna University Hospital. She currently works at the St. Sofia Hospital.
